MISSION: BIG MAGIC - MEET THE SPIRIT OF PSYCHEDELIC INTEGRATION

Psychedelics are spiritual change agents - in the blink of an eye, they open the doors of perception to a reality of increased awareness and possibilities. A whole new world of possibility is one dose away, a place of pure consciousness where we can explore who we are with minimized human limitations - we become an eye of the universe, an observer without a body, a formless dancer undulating outside the constraints of time or space. We suddenly become powerful, a force of nature, one with the All- and re-member who we are - indivisible limitlessness. We are everything, everywhere, all at once, an inexplicable vastness where impossible turns into I’m-possible. We can transform to our soul’s desire, literally be anything, and live anything. 

And the immediate reward? The answers to our deepest queries, the guidance and sense of direction, a clarity that has been sought for too long is finally here. The inexplicable, ethereal beauty. The love of the entire universe, in our humble palms. The connection to the circle of our human tribe, the feeling of belonging. The presence of God, the atman and brahman. There is space for it all. The visceral knowing, that all is perfect, divine and well. Everything is OK! The human stories are finally put to rest. Limitations? What limitations? Those generated by our mind - and thankfully, that’s been lost a pill or a couple of inhales ago.

And, in true cyclical form, the reality that was magically birthed by the psychedelic agent and breathed to life through our bodies - disappears. Yet, the experience of who we were in that reality - remains. 

(And hold up - we haven’t yet discussed the challenges of these journeys. We’ll get there).

What many people don’t know is that psychedelics do not actually make us walk through that door and enter any reality. The allure of a mystical experience calls us in - and offers a mere opportunity for exploration. Then, it creates a personalized pathway and points a stick in that direction where we may find great wisdom that can align us onto our dharmic path towards spiritual enlightenment.

But ultimately it is up to us to choose to get on that path: not just in the fleeting fantasy of the psychedelic experience - but in the seemingly mundane every-day reality. Then, to put one foot in front of the other and meander on the sacred and winding road of awakening through Self-knowledge. By virtue of tediously walking on this road enroute to an increasingly awakened state of enlightenment, many folx find that the third-dimensional life in itself is woven through the magical psychedelic state - and vice versa. Consciousness is not separated nor divisible - it is our ability to keep the veil thin, remain attuned and navigate the full spectrum of consciousness at any moment that allows us to lean into the full spectrum of life. Thus every step on the path becomes mystical, every breath generates a new and miraculous reality. 

From the get-go, psychedelics as tools present their greatest lessons for us at this time: 

Want to live a limitless life? You are already capable. 

Want true and lasting change? Step up and create it. 

Want heaven on Earth? Wake up and smell the roses - for they are already blooming.

The 3D tool that is the support team to the higher-dimensional tool of psychedelics (I like to consider them to be 8D, though others may ascribe them with other dimensions) - the human secret agent to the spiritual change agent - is psychedelic integration. 

This manuscript is my best attempt to present and reveal this secret agent who is in service to spirit, and interpret her teachings.

To me, psychedelic integration is the mysterious sister that everyone has heard about yet not many can describe. With that, in the psychedelic community there is a collective understanding of the role she plays, and its importance to the cultural play. And, not many have heard her script and are still trying to figure out exactly who and what she is. 

I’ve been fortunate in that in the past 8 years, psychedelic integration has made herself fully available to me. She has been my muse, my confidant and my closest ali. She has guided me through some of the darkest valleys of my existence, and the highest peaks. I have been naked with her days and nights through numerous dimensions of reality. The level of intimacy that has been developed between us, I have not yet been able to develop with any other living being. Everything that has been created through me during this time, has been in service to her alien beauty, her ageless wisdom and her cosmic artform. Her language sings of unification, acceptance and connection of all parts - and of the well of universal love. She is poetic, playful, powerful, irrational, non-linear, multidimensional and, ironically, demands space and time. She is non-dogmatic, at times difficult to contain; and this, I have learned, is where She truly comes to life - in those spaces She draws outside of the lines, beyond what is obvious and grooved... Psychedelic as ever, she likes to form new pathways off the beaten path. A paradox, she thrives through discipline and consistent attention or She’ll catch you off-guard. 

And, she is absolutely hysterical! Try to predict her, and you will get a nice slab of humble pie. She lead you through a channel of darkness and then show you the remote has been in your fingers the whole time. She will show up different every day. An untamed wilderness that is difficult to compartmentalize or measure - this is her allure, her mystery and her magick - and why I keep coming back. I have learned to love her sassiness and give her the stage, or the bed - depending on the hour. The best strategy is to just go with it... Just go with her. Let her be tantalizing and allow yourself to be hypnotized into a subconscious state where it feels like you are under the influence of a mind-altering drug while doing the dishes. Listen to her subtlety and she will teach you how to sing a most beautiful song - your soul’s song.

As for me, I am still learning to sound her voice by trusting my own. Most everything she has taught me has remained backstage all these years - journals and hard drives full of scripts, interpretations and analysis of her lessons. Material places where I have attempted to offload the rooms in my psyche that have been stacked with the hard-earned wisdom of direct experience, much of which is encoded through energy. Slowly, these codes are now being synthesized into a coherent language that I pray will highly serve my tribe of Psyched Souls for much time to come. The time has come for it all to be released and trust that however it may sound, a beautiful harmony will be sounded.

Her Message

The message of psychedelic integration for us is that we are all Psyched Souls - we are whole, divine and encoded with universal ecstasy, always have been and always will be - with or without the aid of psychedelic substances, plant medicines and entheogens. We have been far removed from this knowing. We have resorted to cultivating relationships with psychedelics as mediums and have traveled far, wide and deep to find it. Psychedelics have helped us zoom into microcosmic existence. And if we look right under our nose we will find that the psyched factor is here and now, in every dimension of reality and every moment of our existence... In the miraculous and the mundane alike. It’s all a matter of perspective, and then a matter of choice. The goal is to create that psyched reality in the earthly 3D dimension - by choosing to be it.

As for the unique ability of psychedelic states to induce rapid change and transformation, and the suffering that can be gleaned in those states... She reveals that it is a choice. If there is a part within our soul, conscious or unconscious, that feels the need to learn through suffering - it will put itself through it to experience and upload this code that perhaps is most identified with the human journey. Suffering is a form of grounding into the human experience. Because through psychedelics we see the choice, it is up to us to make a decision and take action that is aligned with what we wish to create in the world. So change, healing and transformation can happen in light, in ecstatic joy, and yes - with minimal suffering. It does take a brave soul to face the internal obstacles - memories, traumas and belief systems - that are obstructing this light and clouding our judgement when making decisions. Yet every soul has this code and it's up to it and it alone to combine it with the earthly dharma and live a by-design life of psychosomaspiritual alignment. 

Kurt Vonegaut famously wrote it is all half choice and half chance. Psychedelics are the perfect embodiment of this: learning the subtle dance of proactive creation while trustfully leaning into the masterful guidance of the Great Mystery, and of She.

Finally, She requests that we examine our relationship with the notion of healing. What is healing? Who gets to heal? And why have we, as a culture, become obsessed with it? What is the compulsion with self improvement? Could it be that it is part of the systemic indoctrination that we have succumbed to - to think that we are broken and must fix ourselves? What if we approached psychedelic therapy with the perspective that we are whole and perfect as we are, with all of our imperfections not just being by design - but a mirror to our soul’s unique medicine?

What if each of us is the face of divinity?
